Cheyenne CBS 5 Station Vehicle Illegally Blocks Fire Hydrant

Cheyenne CBS 5 Vehicle Parked Illegally
Anonymous

Does it really surprise anyone that on the same day that KCWY News 13 is getting taken to task for a vehicle being illegally parked in a handicapped parking spot, a Cheyenne CBS 5 vehicle is caught in a very similar act? This photo, which clearly shows a KGWN news vehicle parked in front of a yellow curb and blocking a fire hydrant  was sent to us by a concerned individual has has asked to remain anonymous.

Once again, I will be the first to admit that I have at one time or another parked in front of both a yellow curb and a fire hydrant. That said, having worked in TV newsrooms for over 10 years of my career, there DOES seem to be an attitude of “I’m here to cover the news, so the rules don’t apply to me.” To be clear, that is just my personal opinion and it certainly was not posted on any of the motivational posters found around the building.

I think it is safe to say that Wyoming’s television reporters will be thinking twice before parking illegally anytime soon… I hope.

Comment below and tell us what you think. Should local media be given a free pass when it comes to illegal parking?
