We're just one day away from the last new 'Doctor Who' until 2013, when the good Doctor emerges from his grief to battle "The Snowmen" in Victorian England. Along the way, he'll encounter friends new and old, as well as dastardly villains that threaten the very fabric of space and time, but why wait until tomorrow for a sneak peek? The BBC has released two brand-new clips from the 2012 special, with plenty of universal intrigue to go around.

Grant and Tom Ward as villains, as well as the return of characters Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Commander Strax (Dan Starkey) and Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart). Check out The BBC’s official summary:

Christmas Eve 1892 and the falling snow is the stuff of fairy-tales. When the fairy-tale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help. But the Doctor is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe.
