Roughly 300 volunteers will be helping in some way or another in Casper July 10-13, 2013 during the Wyoming Senior Olympics. Participants aged 50 and over will be competing in archery, badminton, basketball, billiards, bowling, cycling, darts, disc golf, golf, horseshoes, mountain biking, Pickleball, racquetball, 5K and 10K road races, skeet shooting, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, trap shooting, triathlon, volleyball and weightlifting.

An army of volunteers are currently being assembled to help keep events organized, safe and fun. There are a variety of tasks for volunteers; helping to check-in athletes, handing out water and fruit, keeping score or timing, reporting results, setting up equipment, serving at the BBQ, and aiding in keeping runners and cyclists on their assigned routes. Volunteer forms are available online at www.seniorolympics.com or at the Casper Recreation Center, 1801 East 4th Street.

The United Way of Natrona County is mobilizing their annual Days of Action to provide necessary volunteer support for the Wyoming Senior Olympics. United Way agencies are encouraged to participate in the Days of Action by calling the United Way office (307) 237-9367.
