Even with an 80 MPH speed limit on some highways, Wyoming roads remain safe one year later.

State government has been trying to keep Wyoming roads safe while keeping taxes low. Did you know it takes $135 million dollars to keep roads, bridges and highways and transportation systems to preserve their current conditions? Vehicle travel is expected to increase by 55% and 82% of roads will decay by 2030 is nothing is done to improve the roads.

We asked for a 10 cents a gallon tax one year ago to help with and improve our highway system. There is always a trade off, more taxes and better roads, less taxes poorer highway conditions.
