How about a road trip to 'the live music capitol of the world'?

The annual South By Southwest Music Festival is underway in Texas with artists from around the world performing. Among the musicians is recording artist Josh Dorr from Gillette, Wyoming and he'll be playing in Austin on Thursday night.

For 28 years now, about this time in March, talented musicians and singer/songwriters gather in Austin, Texas for SXSW. A Wyomingite, who is now an RCA Nashville recording artist, Josh Dorr from Gillette, is among those playing this week.

He's scheduled to perform at the Tap Room at the Market, 311 Colorado St., in Austin on Thursday, March 19, from 8 to 8:30 p.m. (Texas time)

The 26-year-old former football player released his debut 4-song EP in 2014 and his music has been described as a 'lyric-driven, rock-edged brand of country.'

Josh Dorr got acquainted with Wyoming singer Chancey Williams, who helped set up an internship in Nashville. Josh has since co-written songs for the TV show 'Necessary Roughness' and the Pursuit Channel program 'Open Season.'

Another song, co-written by Josh Dorr, will be featured on Casey James' upcoming album.
