The NFL Draft is coming up next month and, for the second year in a row, a Wyoming linebacker could hear his name called.

Eddie Yarbrough was one of the few standouts for the Pokes defense last year. The 6'3", 250 lb. pass rusher recorded seven sacks and over ten tackles for a loss.

Although some scouts consider Yarbrough to be undersized, he is projected among the top 30 outside linebackers and defensive ends in this year's draft. Analysts expect him to be chosen somewhere in the sixth or seventh round.

Last year, Yarbrough's college teammate Mark Nzeocha was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round. Nzeocha made the team and logged significant playing time towards the end of his rookie season.

80 Wyoming players have been drafted into the NFL since 1947. Of those, 66 former Pokes have gone on to play in the league.
