Wyoming gasoline prices are up three tenths of a cent over the last week and while it won’t effect most people by much at the pump, at least prices were low for tourist season. The slight rise also won’t effect the oil industry employees who were laid off. Nationally, the rig count is up slightly, but not so for Wyoming.

As I discussed previously, it may be quite a while before we see any major moves that will get people back to work at previous levels, if ever. I also talked recently about Wyoming being “The Best State To Earning A Living” according to Forbes. Hopefully this will attract startup companies and existing companies to locate in Wyoming and bring good jobs with them.

As for rising gas prices, in Casper, Sam’s is again the best price in the Oil City with regular pumping for $1.98 per gallon. Most others are above the $2 mark, with Sinclair on E. Birch holding the high mark at $2.29.

Gas Buddy says the best price for regular in Cheyenne is at Sam’s Club on Dell Range for $1.92. But, feel free to pay $2.39 at the Diamond Shamrock at Vandehei & Bishop. Do they serve it in long stem Baccarat Crystal?
