On the way into work this morning, I saw the heaven & hell of our gas prices. A station (that is usually on the high side) was $1.67. According to GasBuddy.com, the cheapest gas in Casper is $1.56 at Sam’s on E 2nd if you have a membership card and Sinclair on E 2nd and Jefferson.

Conoco and Ridley’s are charging $1.58 for regular, while others are mostly ranging between $1.58 and $1.69 in town. These price drops are mostly because China has slowed down their consumption of oil and with the addition of Iran coming back online, there’s a glut of oil on the market.

Gas prices in Wyoming have dropped 7½¢ to an average of $1.78 a gallon for regular. That’s bad for Wyoming oil & gas workers and the businesses that sell to them. But at the pump it feels good to fill up without taking out a second mortgage. All because oil is so cheap.

You can now get two gallons of oil for the price of one gallon of milk.  Despite the savings, I still recommend milk for your cereal.
