Federal judges in Wyoming recently sentenced four men for firearms, drug and contempt crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Matthew Wayne Miller, 24, of Cheyenne for being a felon in possession of firearms. He received three years five months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation. Skavdahl also ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment and a $500 fine.

The Cheyenne Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.

Skavdahl sentenced Scott Eugene Bronson, 33, for possession of a machine gun. He received six years eight months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

The Sheridan Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.
Skavdahl also sentenced Rashaan Fredrick Burton, 40, for conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Burton was arrested in Gillette. He received 13 years four months of imprisonment to be followed by four years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office, the Gillette Police Department and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation investigated this case.

Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Kelly Rankin sentenced John T. Rudnick, 63, of Indianapolis for contempt of court. Rudnick intentionally provided misleading and inaccurate information to questions during a deposition in a bankruptcy case. His misbehavior obstructed the administration of justice. Rankin ordered Rudnick to pay a $5,000 fine.

The Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated this case.
