The University of Wyoming Cowboys Basketball team lost their first home game of the season tonight in Laramie at the Double A against the Southern Methodist University Mustangs 62-54.

What was the problem with the Cowboys? The Pokes continued to struggle from the land of three going six of twenty two from three point range. With only 1:28 left in the game the Cowboys were only down four, 56-52, but missed free throw opportunities in the final minute cost the Cowboys the game.

Larry Nance Jr. led all Cowboy scores with 16 points and 13 rebounds, followed by Josh Adams with 10 points. The Cowboys record falls to (7-4) on the season. The Pokes next opponent will be Sunday at home against the Northern Colorado Bears, in Laramie.
