“If I could choose a place to live, Wyoming would be on the short list.”

In 1968, Buffalo Springfield called it quits and members were ready to move on to new projects. One would combine rock, country, folk and more to pave the way for bands like The Eagles. It would be the ground breaking band, Poco. One of the founding members, Rusty Young shares some memories of playing Cheyenne and Casper, Wyoming way back in the day before he started traveling the world, based out of LA..

He used to play Wyoming frequently in his younger Denver based psychedelic rock band "Boenzee Cryque" days and now he’s returning to play at Beartrap Summer Festival in Casper on Sunday, August 7th.

He has fond memories of Wyoming, and would strongly consider moving here if he were to ever leave the cabin he built special for himself and his wife, Mary, in Mark Twain National Forest in Southwestern Missouri.

But if he wanted to move…. “If I could choose a place to live, Wyoming would be on the short list.”
