The national weather service in Riverton has issued a winter storm warning for Natrona County including casper and Casper Mountain...Which is in effect from 6:00 PM Tuesday to 6:00 PM MST Wednesday. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.

Rain changes to snow late Tuesday afternoon or early evening. Moderate to heavy snow is expected tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

12 to 18 inches is expected. 18 to 24 inches around Outer Drive in south Casper as well as south Casper at the base of Casper Mountain. Snowfall of 2 to 3 feet possible on Casper Mountain.

Roads will become slick and snow packed.

North to northeast wind of 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts will create blowing and drifting snow in open areas.Ranchers should take precautions to protect young livestock.
