Insurance is boring, but insurance advertising is not. Call it the Geico Gecko Effect: you can't just have some poindexter with an actuary table reciting rates, you need a talking lizard, a branded duck or a hot babe in a skin-tight leather suit to sell those policies.

In the new Nationwide Insurance ‘Join the Nation’ campaign commercial, actress-turned-country music star Jana Kramer shows off her body as a stealthy insurance avenger who immediately replaces the goods stolen from a Nationwide-insured home by a couple of hoodlums.

Best known for her role as Alex Dupre on the TV drama "One Tree Hill," Kramer transitioned into a belle of the country music scene with the release of her self-titled debut album in 2012.

Kramer was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 2012 American Country Music Awards. The video for her hit single 'Why Ya Wanna' received a 2013 CMT Music Award nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year.

Kramer is currently an opening act for Blake Shelton on the "Ten Times Crazier Tour." You can follow Kramer on Twitter.
