The country lineup is usually rock solid for CFD, and this years shows are no exception. Brantley Gilbert, Little Big Town, Sawyer Brown (have you ever heard their version of 6 Days On The Road? It ROCKS BABY!!!) Sorry, sorry. I love their take on the Dave Dudley classic. Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Jason Aldean will put butts in the seats and in the arena, but who should bring the rock for the summer of ’17?

While they are asking for your input, it is from a limited roster of what I consider weak-sauce acts like Lionel Richie and New Kids On The Block and Pitbull. Although the survey just closed, the options are here.

But can we daydream for a moment? Why not go for Tom Petty? He’s getting ready to stop touring on his 40th anniversary. The Eagles died along with Glenn Frey last year but Joe Walsh, the clown prince of rock, could sell out the venue. Don Henley could do that too, all the while appealing to rock and country audiences.

Cheap Trick, Heart, Blink 182 would be good choices, but....
