Lexie Madden, a student at the University of Wyoming, is one of 53 women in Las Vegas competing for the title of 2013 Miss America. Preliminary competitions are already underway and the final competition will air on ABC this Saturday, Jan. 12th.

Raised in Torrington, Lexie became the 2012 Miss Wyoming partly by performing an original composition on piano, which is the same talent she will perform in the Miss America competition. Her platform is Forever Fit, which seems quite appropriate for someone hoping to obtain a Doctorate degree in Pediatric Physical Therapy and provide rehabilitation care for children as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.

There has never been a Miss America from Wyoming, but just a couple of years ago, Teresa Scanlan became the first Miss Nebraska to win Miss America. You can help Lexie become the first Miss Wyoming to win Miss America by voting for her as America's Choice. Click here to watch her video and complete the survey before voting closes on Thursday.

Lexie has already been featured Episode One of "Miss America: Secrets Revealed," which you can watch by clicking here. If you'd like to see more on Lexie's time in Las Vegas, you can follow the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Foundation on Facebook. Below is video of the Arrival Ceremony, and yes they go in alphabetical order by state, which means Lexie got the leave the final impression. Enjoy!
