The website StartClass, published a list this month ranking the colleges with the lowest retention ranks in the country. Unfortunately, the University of Wyoming was ranked number one.

According to data from the National Center for Educational Statistics, only 74% of first time undergraduates who enrolled at UW during the 2013-2014 school year were still considered full time students the following fall.

One reason for Wyoming's low retention rate is their high acceptance rate. Nearly 96% of students who apply at the University are accepted.

In spite of those low retention rates, StartClass gives UW high marks for tuition costs, access to financial aid, class sizes, student to teacher ratio, graduation rates, and median salaries for graduates entering the work force.
