United Blood Services announced today that it is moving its Casper blood donor center to 2801 E. 2nd St. (corner of 2nd and Country Club, North of Hobby Lobby) this Sunday, May 26th.

Hours at the new center location are: Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of each month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The new center will have a self-interview kiosk, a larger refreshment area and expanded parking.

William Henry, Regional Center Director of United Blood Services, said, “We are pleased to offer the community such a comfortable, yet efficient blood center.  Donors will enjoy our bigger donor room, new amenities to make their experience more enjoyable, and plenty of parking.”

To provide a dependable blood supply for area patients, United Blood Services plans to see at least 25-30 donors each day. The public is invited to join United Blood Services on Tuesday, June 4th for their open house and ribbon cutting ceremony from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

United Blood Services has centers in Cheyenne, Casper and Rock Springs, collecting an average of more than 50,000 blood donations a year to help save the lives of patients in 47 area hospitals.  The centers are part of the national United Blood Services network, which helps save and sustain the lives of patients in 18 states.
