This weekend, I heard a great story about one Wyoming resident's recent encounter with legendary U2 singer Bono. This friend of a friend, who wishes to remain anonymous due to his status as a federal employee, bumped into Bono in an elevator while visiting New York City earlier this year.

Not only did Bono take the time to speak with him, he also revealed his lifelong wish to visit Wyoming. After mentioning that he was a big fan of U2, Bono thanked him and commented on the University of Wyoming hat he was wearing. First, Bono asked if he was from Wyoming, to which the man replied "yes". Then, Bono asked him several questions about Yellowstone and mentioned that, although he's never been, visiting the National Park has been a "dream since childhood".

The man, of course, vouched for Yellowstone's majestic beauty and gave him some tips on which area of the park to see first. Bono then thanked him for the advice, shook his hand, and wished him well.

Next time you're at Yellowstone, or in an elevator in New York, keep an eye out. You might end up running into Bono one of these days.
