Casper police arrested two juveniles for breaking into four vehicles in Casper and one in Mills, Lt. Chris Hadlock said Thursday.

Police found the two 15-year-old boys on Holly Street at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of them checking car doors to see if they were unsecured, Hadlock said.

The boys mostly took small items such as iPods and lighters, he said.

However, they took a shotgun from a vehicle in Mills, which is an aggravated burglary, Hadlock said.

The boys also are charged with four counts of auto burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary. All these counts are felonies.

Because of their ages, Hadlock said they probably will be tried in juvenile court and the court records will be sealed.

Besides these crimes, Casper police are investigating other auto burglaries in the city, he added.
