We have some disturbing news today. Tim Bachman, an original guitarist of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, is currently on trial in British Columbia, Canada for sexually abusing a girl under the age of 14.

According to the Calgary Herald, the crimes allegedly took place between 2000 and 2004 when Stacy Bohun, 24, was a foster child placed at Bachman's home in the Fraser Valley. Bohun claims that Bachman gave her breast enhancement pills at the age of 11 and repeatedly fondled her sexual organs over the next four years, at which time she ran away from Bachman's house.

Charges against Bachman were first filed in 2010. At the time a ban was placed on reporting on the story to protect Bohun's identity. However, the ban was lifted yesterday (April 10), with Bohun allowing herself to be named as well, in the hopes that it gets other victims to talk about their experiences.

Bachman founded B.T.O. with his brothers, Randy and Robbie, and Fred Turner. He parted ways with the group following the release of their second album, 1973's 'Bachman-Turner Overdrive II, which featured the hits 'Let it Ride' and 'Takin' Care of Business.' He returned to the group when they reunited in the mid-1980s. Since leaving the music industry, he has been employed as a real estate agent.
