The River Remembers Oct. 25, 1997- Johnny Cash is “Hurt”
Johnny Cash is a legend. With numerous awards, multi-platinum records, and a super hot wife, that being June, Cash was a god of music. He was everything that was “cool” about Rock and Roll. Which is why, on this day in 1997, people were saddened when, after falling over on stage reaching for a guitar pick, the “man in black” announced that he had Parkinson’s disease.
In related sad Cash news, on this day in 2003, his step-daughter Rosey Nix Adams, and her fiddle player were found dead on their tour bus due to carbon-monoxide poisoning.
