The River Remembers – February 9, 1993 – Jagger Releases ‘Wandering Spirit’
The Rolling Stones are, arguably, one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Concerts, television appearances, record sales, and of course, lots and lots of women- The Stones led the way in them all, truly leaving no stone unturned. But on this day, in 1993, Stones front man Mick Jagger released his third solo album "Wandering Spirit." The 14 track album was both a critical and commercial success, reaching #11 on the Billboards chart and producing the #1 single "Don't tear me up." Jagger would produce a few more solo albums, but most people agree that it was this one, his third, that truly displayed the immense talent that the other half of "the Glimmer Twins" obviously had.
