I love the history of Wyoming and I look forward to learning more from one who knows on Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave.

Cheyenne historian Richard T. Ammon will tell stories about Cheyenne that you’ve never heard before and present a slideshow of historic pictures, not seen in prior presentations.

Learn about the historic auto races that put Cheyenne in the national headlights, early photos of the Airport, and the first Owl Inn Drive-Inn. Ammon will also discuss the truth behind the demise of the InterOcean Hotel in a free program that is open to the public.

For more about the Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board, visit the city website or on Facebook.
