While the high number of jobs in the balance depend on a high enough price to encourage production in Wyoming, others hope for lower prices. Gasoline costs can quickly cut into a family budget in direct driving themselves and the added costs tacked on to goods trucked in to stores and service centers.

Wyoming is also dependent on tourism and that also affects our bottom line. Our national parks alone are responsible for bringing in $1 Billion to Wyoming. That will be dependent on affordable gas as well.

Still gas has gone up again. Regular gas averages $2.29 per gallon, up 2.2 cents over the last week. With Memorial Day just a month away, even the national average of $2.45 a gallon, up 6.6 cents, will affect how many people will be hitting the roads for a vacation.
