That really high note at the end of Styx's Lady got him his job with the band years ago. Tommy Shaw has since played in Damn Yankees and half the duo Shaw-Blades. He is set to release his first solo album in 13 years, in March, titled The Great Divide. This may come as a surprise to many of his rock fans, because it's a bluegrass disc.
