Running is hard enough all by itself. It's even more difficult when a potentially hungry mountain lion is blocking your path as a jogger just learned in a new video.
Whether you're hoping to run your first 5K, or are a seasoned veteran at them, there are several exciting run/walks in Wyoming over the next month and most of them are for great causes.
Wyoming State Games and Special Olympics Wyoming are partnering for the Annual 5K and 10K Fun Run/Walk. Registration will be at Crossroads Park, Saturday, June, 7th starting at 8am. Proceeds from both runs will be donated to Special Olympics Wyoming.
Registration for the Windy City Striders Winter Race Series #3 is at 8am Saturday with the race starting at 9am. Entry fee and race information is contained here.
Roughly 800 people put on Santa costumes for the Fourth Annual Michendorf Santa Run in Michendorf, Germany. The race is sponsored by Laufclub Michendorf (which translated means Michendorf Running Club, imagine that) and is 10 kilometers long. The next in a series of community walks along the Platte River Parkway is set for Monday, July 9th, beginning in Mills First Street Park at 6 pm. The event is free and hosted by the Platte River Parkway Trust.
