Paul McCartney, Nirvana Song ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ Available for Sale

Paul McCartney's collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana wasn't as unlikely as it seemed on Wednesday night. Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic joined the Beatle to close the 12-12-12 concert at Madison Square Garden. They sang 'Cut Me Some Slack,' which they wrote and recorded for Grohl's upcoming 'Sound City' documentary soundtrack, and the studio version is now available for sale on iTunes.

Casey Abrams Brings Nirvana To American Idol [VIDEO]

For the first time ever, a contestant on American Idol sang a song from '90s grunge-gods Nirvana. Casey Abrams, who missed a show last week when he was hospitalized for a bowel condition, kept the drama going on Wednesday night's telecast with his out-of-left-field selection of  "Smell's Like Teen Spirit."

The reactions from judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson to Abrams' performance were very positive. Jennifer Lopez was a bit less enthusiastic, although she stated she still "loved" Abrams.
