Get Rich Quick! A Billion Dollars in Loose Change Is Just Waiting For You

With all the talk of how broke the US government is, you might be surprised to learn there’s over a billion one-dollar coins sitting unused in Federal Reserve vaults. And the US Mint is still cranking them out.

NPR’s Planet Money and Investigations teams found that the coins are the wasteful byproducts of a failed congressional effort to get Americans to use them in everyday commerce.

Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ Jacket Sells for $1.8 Million

According to PopCrush, the iconic leather jacket that Michael Jackson wore in his famous ‘Thriller’ video sold for $1.8 million over the weekend at Julien’s Music Icons auction.

The jacket went to bidder Milton Verret, a Texas-based commodities trader, who says he will show the jacket “around the country in a tour that will help raise money for children’s charities.”

Tobey Maguire Sued After Winning Over $300,000 In Illegal Poker Game

In what sounds like something straight out of a movie, RadarOnline is exclusively reporting that ‘Spider-Man’ star Tobey Maguire is the target of a lawsuit over a multi-million dollar, illegal poker game.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles, claims that Maguire won over $300,000 from hedge fund manager Brad Ruderman. Ruderman allegedly used some of the money he had earned from an illegal Ponzi scheme, in which he embezzled investor funds to pay off his debts. Now, the investors want their money back.
