It's been a long time since we've heard a proper new Metallica song, but that'll change when the band hits South America for a series of March tour dates.

In the modern day, many musicians and other celebrities have embraced social media as a way to connect with their fan base. But not Kirk Hammett. In a new interview, the Metallica guitarist discussed, in no uncertain terms, why he avoids all of the myriad Internet-based platforms open to him.

Given that they are both former members of Metallica, one would think Dave Mustaine and Jason Newsted would get along famously. However, that appears not to be the case, as we learn that Newsted's self-titled band has been thrown off an Australian tour by headliners Megadeth.
