Keeping track of the ever-expanding number of summer music festivals just got a little more difficult, thanks to the folks at LivingSocial. The location-based deals website is organizing its own event, dubbed the Backyard Festival, and they're busily lining up an impressive list of performers.
It's that time of year again! No, not Christmas, it's the time when the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame makes their big announcement concerning the 2013 inductees. The big announcement will be made tomorrow, Dec. 11, at 11:00AM Pacific.
Just a few days after joining Joan Jett on stage at Madison Square Garden for a surprise performance of her classic hit ‘Bad Reputation,’ the Foo Fighters reunited with the rock icon on last night’s ‘Late Show with David Letterman.’
The all-star combo treated the studio audience to another fiery run-through of ‘Bad Reputation,’ with Jett in fine voice and the Foos thrashing through the song like their lives depended on it. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has mailed out the ballots for its 27th annual list of potential inductees, leaving it to the organization’s 500 voters to pick the winners from an eclectic group that includes first-time nominees as well as returning contenders.
Newly eligible artists who made this year’s cut include Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Guns N’ Roses, Heart, and Eric B. & Rakim, while the Beastie Boys, Donna Summer, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the veteran hopefuls.
