Many of Alfred Hitchcock's movies, from 'Psycho' to 'Vertigo' to 'Rear Window,' are about voyeurism, so the idea of peering into Hitchcock's own previously hidden private life does make a certain amount of sense. But if 'Hitchcock' resonates with some of the Master of Suspense's ideas, it's never faithful to his spirit. Hitch would never have put his name on a film so full of lame pop psychology and so bereft of excitement, tension and humor. Which is a shame, since the title of this movie is his name.

The weekend box office brought good news and bad news for comedian Russell Brand.

The good news: Brand's live-action/animated comedy 'Hop' took the top spot for the second weekend in a row, with $21.7 million. That marks a 42 percent drop from last weekend, bringing the film's grand total to $68.2 million thus far.

Unfortunately, Brand's other movie, 'Arthur,' a remake of the Oscar-winning '80s comedy starring Dudley Moore, underperformed with audiences, bringing in just $12.6 million. The movie, which also stars Greta Gerwig, Jennifer Garner and Helen Mirren, suffered from poor reviews that likely killed its word of mouth.

'Saturday Night Live' got a touch of class this weekend, thanks to host Dame Helen Mirren, who was there to promote her new movie 'Arthur.'

The 65-year-old Oscar winner certainly gave it her all in an episode that seemed to rely on two things: her never-aging beauty and her ability to impersonate famous people.

When she wasn't pole dancing or letting Kristen Wiig get up close and personal with her, uh, "magical bosom," Mirren gamely impersonated everyone from actress Helena Bonham Carter to author Mary Shelley. In one sketch, Mirren portrayed First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who, in a riff on the much-maligned miniseries 'The Kennedys,' was revealed to be a lesbian with a thing for Marilyn Monroe (Abby Elliot). The result? Some girl-on-girl action between Mirren and Elliot. (No complaints here.)
