With the recent news of Fleetwood Mac's upcoming 2013 tour comes yet another wave of questions regarding the possibility of keyboardist Christine McVie ever rejoining the band -- and forcing Lindsey Buckingham to tell us, once again, that it's probably never going to happen.
During discussions about their upcoming 2013 tour, the members of Fleetwood Mac huddled into Lindsey Buckingham's home studio to cut three new songs, but Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks don't seem to agree on if they'll be part of a full album.
Covering Fleetwood Mac seems to be a hip thing to do these days. Back in August a tribute album came out featuring Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Marianne Faithful and a strong crop of some of today's most acclaimed young groups. Next month will see a CD featuring more indie bands tackling Fleetwood Mac's classic 1977 album 'Rumours.'
Over the last 30 years or so, Fleetwood Mac fans have grown accustomed to long waits between studio albums -- but if recent statements made by Lindsey Buckingham are accurate, the band could end its nearly 10-year recording drought in the not-too-distant future.
