If you've ever been to a concert, you know that atmosphere is a key factor in whether it rocks or not. Whether its a grand stage, or even a dingy bingo hall, it all plays an important role in the concert itself. Personally, I've always been a big fan of outdoor concerts. This is why Fireworks Festival 2012">Fireworks Festival 2012 is one of my favorite events of the year.

As June winded down and July approached, Casper natives were worried that because of the different fires plaguing the Rocky Mountain region, the Fireworks Festival 2012">Fireworks Festival 2012 would be cancelled. This didn't prove to be the case however, thanks to heavy planning and a wide-array of highly-trained professionals manning the fireworks.

The only thing that could be better than watching fireworks signify the day that America gained it's independence, is if you can be eating delicious food while doing so. This is why Fireworks Festival 2012 is so awesome- you get the best seat in the house in terms of watching the fireworks, and you get to do it while eating burgers, brats, bbq, and more.

One of the best parts of Fireworks Festival 2012 is the amount of activities that take place at the event. You can buy awesome Independence Day swag, get your face painted, get a henna tattoo, and more. The vendors of the Fireworks Festival are a big reason why it is an event that is looked forward from the 5th of July til next year. Check out these pics of the vendors, and you'll see why.

Every dog has it's day, and it looks like the dogs at Fireworks Festival 2012 are having the best day of their lives'. What could be better than spending the afternoon and evening with their owners and fellow mutts playing, running, and watching a beautiful fireworks show? Nothing. And if these pics prove anything, it's that the dog days of summer should be more like this one.

When I was a kid, there were very few things I looked forward to more than the Fourth of July. I got to be around my friends, family and, of course, watch the fireworks. There was nothing cooler than the fireworks when I was little! As I got older and older, I would try to get closer and closer to the fireworks to see if they would actually fall on me.

It's on holidays like the Fourth of July that I'm reminded of a lot of things. I'm reminded how lucky I am to live in the country that I do, how lucky I am to have the freedom I do, and how lucky I am to be a part of the community that I am. Every year the Casper Events Center hosts the Fireworks Festival and it features a wide-array of vendors, food, music and, of course, people. Check out these pics of the Fireworks Festival 2012.
