Are you one of the approximately 75 gazillion people who are addicted to Farmville, cluttering Facebook news feeds with posts about finding a pig or tending crops? Then you might be interested in the Farmville movie Hollywood is developing based on the popular game. Not content to wait, Jimmy Kimmel debuted a (fake) teaser trailer last night on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’
I know this is the part when I am supposed to write about the content in this article. But I am rendered speechless after reading this. I don't even have a witty and/or snarky comment for this picture. Has the education system truly failed this hard?
Get your crops ready, hayseeds — there might be a FarmVille movie coming. As one of the most popular video games probably ever, the scourge of Facebook is about to hit the silver screen thanks to screenwriters Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen.
Facebook announced a big overhaul of their user profile design at yesterday’s f8 developers conference. The redesign includes a chronological sorting of each user’s life in a feature they’ve dubbed the Timeline.
The feature automatically sorts all of a user’s Facebook activity over time (so you’ll be able to easily access those embarrassing wall exchanges with your old exes) and offers the ability to upload images or video from years past (your oversharing childhood pal is salivating over this). Get a closer look below:
Attendees at the Facebook f8 keynote on Thursday got a special treat when ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Andy Samberg took the stage and did his finest Mark Zuckerberg impression.
Despite the whining about the launch of their “top stories” feature this week, Facebook unveiled and even bigger change at the company’s F8 developer conference in San Francisco: Timeline.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that profile pages will soon automatically put photos, videos, status updates and status changes in chronological order. The timeline will also feature a “way back” section, which allows users to insert material from their pre-Facebook days.
If you have been spending much time on your favorite, or least favorite, social networking site and have noticed more than a few changes you are not alone.
Leah Gibbs was so impressed with Adam Minton’s Facebook profile that she agreed to go on a date with the man she knew just through the social networking site.
The 23-year-old Australian woman probably realized this wasn’t going to be a traditional date when Minton kicked it off by asking her to drive him to a betting parlor and then wait in the car while he presumably made a wager.
Hurricane Irene may end up being one of the 10 costliest catastrophes in U.S. history. Industry experts currently put the storm’s damage at $7 billion to $10 billion; however, much of that destruction may not be covered by insurance because it was caused by flooding and not winds. Flooding is often excluded from standard insurance policies.
Sebastian Bach knows the feeling of devastation, as hurricane Irene battered the east coast this past weekend. The category 2 hurricane totally destroyed Bach's home of 21 years that was featured on MTV Cribs.
