A quartet of young ‘American Idol‘ hopefuls calling themselves Make You Believe teamed up to forget the words to the Boston classic ‘More Than a Feeling’ on tonight’s episode of the singing competition, although to be fair two of the members were dealing with a nasty flu.
You gotta stand up for your friends, and for yourself. Surely somebody told Aerosmith singer and ‘American Idol‘ judge Steven Tyler that lesson at some point during his childhood. And yet, he sat there passively as three different classic rock songs were savaged by various ‘Idol’ hopefuls in Portland, Oregon, including one of his very own tunes.
Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is a busy man! Aside from trying to finish the band’s long-awaited new album and recovering from two broken teeth in a bathtub mishap, he is also getting in gear for another round of that American pastime of “yay or nay” known as ‘Americn Idol.’
It’s probably no surprise that Fox’s ‘American Idol’ tops the list for shows where it costs the most for companies to buy advertising. But it probably is shocking that the show giving them a run for their ad money isn’t another reality show or even ‘Two and a Half Men;’ it’s NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football.’
“I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of ‘American Idol’ are back for the next season,” he told Seacrest, who happens to be the aforementioned “brilliant host” of ‘Idol.’
They’re tourmates and ‘American Idol’ alums — but are Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina also something more? It’s a question they’ve been asked repeatedly lately, and one they’ve done a great job of refusing to answer.
McCreery and Alaina continued their obfuscation during a recent appearance at the Google campus, dodging yet another volley from the ‘are they or aren’t they?’ camp when the subject came up as part of a series of questions about their feelings on Google’s new social network, Google+.
