This Saturday night, the moon will be the biggest, and brightest full moon in 2012. Commonly referred to as a “Super Moon”, it will appear brighter and bigger, as the moon will be closest to Earth.

In March of 2011 we had a “Super Moon” event that was the biggest and brightest in 18 years, and forecasters believe that this weekends event will be even greater.

The moon should rise just before 8 p.m., and be at it’s fullest point around 10:30 p.m.
