The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) approved the town of Glenrock’s Business Ready Community (BRC) grant request for the expansion of a precision medical devices manufacturing company during its meeting this morning in Cheyenne.

The Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors recommended during a special meeting July 30 in Cheyenne the SLIB approve the $1,350,000 Business Committed grant request. The Business Council administers the BRC program, which provides financing for publicly owned infrastructure that serves the needs of businesses and promotes economic development and diversity within Wyoming communities.

The Business Council Board of Directors is required by state statute to forward all BRC recommendations to the SLIB for final approval. The SLIB is comprised of the five statewide elected officials: Governor Matt Mead, Secretary of State Ed Murray, State Auditor Cynthia Cloud, State Treasurer Mark Gordon and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow.

BRC Business Committed Application

• Glenrock requested a $1,350,000 Business Committed grant to purchase a building and fixed assets and make necessary improvements for McGinley Orthopaedic Innovations (MOI) to manufacture precision medical devices. (Approved by the SLIB in full)
