Over a million hours of listening finds that Wyoming is one of the best… for silence.

Scientists studied noise levels across the country and based on 1.5 million hours of acoustical monitoring and computer algorithms, most of the quietest places in the country are in.... the Rocky Mountain region of Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.

Yellowstone National Park here in Wyoming and the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, have background noise levels lower than 20 decibels – a silence likely as deep as before European colonization of America.

Shout it from the rooftops.
