It won’t be long until we get our boats out and pile in the fishing poles and coolers. In getting ready for the season we focus on the care of our watercraft, but we cannot forget the care of Wyoming waters. Wyoming Game and Fish says:

“There are several regulations in place to protect Wyoming’s resources. All boaters should be aware of these regulations. Any watercraft transported into Wyoming from March 1 through November 30 must undergo a mandatory inspection by an authorized inspector prior to launching. Any watercraft that has been in a water infested with zebra/quagga mussels within the last 30 days, is required to undergo a mandatory inspection by an authorized inspector prior to launching during ALL months of the year.”

They are offering a training course for aquatic invasive species inspections in Cheyenne at their headquarters 5400 Bishop Blvd. for self-inspection and for businesses that would provide the service for customers for a fee. The next class will be April 4. To get an inspection, See this page
