After the big story of Lance Armstrong's entire career being run on performance-enhancing drugs, it was expected that there would be a call for him to return winnings. So should he?

According to a statement by his lawyer, Lance says he will not return the $12 million that he received from a Texas company as a bonus for winning his fourth, fifth and sixth Tour de France titles. The Tour de France director has stated that Armstrong must pay back all the money he won for winning his titles.

Armstrong's lawyer says that, to his knowledge, "no athlete ever" has had to pay back his compensation. The company disagrees, and is looking to pursue the matter legally.
