This was no ordinary ride home.

Eleven children riding a school bus in Aitkin County, Minnesota are all okay after a potentially horrifying episode earlier this week when the driver had a medical emergency and could not drive.

A sheriff's deputy first noticed the bus weaving around the roadway before it became even worse. The deputy did what it could to protect cars in the opposite lane avoid getting hit.

The bus, traveling around 40 miles per hour, went into a ditch, but then defied logic by returning onto the roadway, continuing the trip.

A state trooper would eventually put an end to the 14-minute incident by using stop sticks to stop the bus.

The 68-year-old bus driver was taken to the hospital. His condition has not been revealed.
