Roger Waters bassist and founding member of Pink Floyd will be in Anzio, Italy, on February 18th to become an honorary citizen of the city where his father was killed during World War II.

As part of the commemoration, local officials will unveil a monument recognizing Roger's dad that will bear an inscription featuring Waters' lyrics from the song "Two Suns in the Sunset," which appears on Pink Floyd's 1983 album, The Final Cut.

Waters only became aware of his father's fate this past fall, when a 93 year old World War II veteran, Harry Schindler found documents that included information related to the battle.

Waters will be apart of a series of memorial events marking the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Anzio.
