It may be fun touring, but every once in a while health issues come into play. Such is the case right now for Red Hot Chili Peppers, who are taking a few days off from their touring while singer Anthony Kiedis attempts to recover from a case of bronchitis.

The band revealed via their website that they are rescheduling their shows this week in Denver, Glendale and San Diego to dates later in the year. The San Diego stop will now take place March 21, while fans in Denver and Glendale will have to wait a while longer. The new Denver date is Oct. 16, while fans in Glendale, Ariz., will get to see the band on Oct. 18. All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new dates.

"We are so sorry that we cannot come to Denver, Glendale and San Diego as planned. Anthony has been fighting off the bronchitis all week and still needs a few more days to recover. We are sorry for any inconvenience to our fans and look forward to seeing you," state the band in their posting.

The group is hoping that the time off will give Kiedis a chance to recover in time to make the band's upcoming trio of hometown Los Angeles performances at Staples Center. Those dates are set for March 7, 8 and 10, so fans attending the Los Angeles shows should monitor the situation. See all of Red Hot Chili Peppers' scheduled shows here.
