Nearly two months ago, the Red Hot Chili Peppers announced a 10-week North American tour to begin at the start of 2017. Today, they extended the tour, adding an additional 10 weeks that will keep them on the road for pretty much the entire first half of the year. 

After a break of approximately one month, the second leg will begin will begin on April 12 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., and conclude at the United Center in Chicago on June 30. A pre-sale for fan club members will begin on Wednesday (Nov. 9) with the sale to the general public beginning on Friday (Nov. 11). All fans purchasing tickets will receive a copy of their most recent record, The Getaway, in either physical or digital form.
