If you like to unwind at the end of your day with a glass of wine, make it a red wine and reap the health benefits attributed to the grapes and ultraviolet sunlight.

Dr. Leroy Creasy, Professor emeritus at Cornell University, thinks we all have the ability to choose a heart-healthy red wine.

The simple power of observation is all that’s needed according to the wine researcher. Just check the color. The darker the color red, the higher amount of antioxidants, which help the heart fight disease.

So remember to toast to your good health this holiday season with an antioxidant rich red wine. Cheers!
