Casper isn't the largest city in the world or the most popular, but we have been shouted out quite often in song. Mostly it happens unintentionally, but hey... we'll take it!

Some of these songs were really big at one time, others maybe just for a brief moment in their respective genres. Either way, we don't mind. Keep saying our name.

DJ Casper - Cha Cha Slide Part 2

Just about everyone on planet earth at one point has heard and/or danced to this song at a wedding, school dance, club or party. Although not talking about our city, "Mr C - The Slide Man" originally went by DJ Casper. The dance and song is often referred to as "The Casper Slide Part 2". Don't believe us? Just listen to the intro!

Casper The Friendly Ghost Theme Song

Yet another song that almost everyone has heard at least once, thanks to it being the theme song to both a popular cartoon and a semi successful live action children's movie.

Mobb Deep - Drop A Gem On Em

Mobb Deep is one of the most influential Hip-Hop groups of all time. Although this was no where near the duo's biggest single, it's still good to hear our city name dropped, even if they didn't really mean us.

    Teena Marie - Square Biz

Teena Marie was very well respected in the R&B world (often called the Ivory Queen of Soul) and was also a friend and frequent collaborator of Rock James. Square Biz was her biggest hit and featured her rapping, where she referred to herself as "Casper".

Keri Hilson - Knock You Down

This is the newest song to make the list, having been released in 2009. The song features Ne-Yo, who once traveled to Casper for a concert, but didn't perform (we haven't forgotten) and a pre-Kardashian Kanye West. Ye's second rap verse on the song has the mention of "Casper", although yet again, alluding to the ghost instead of our fair city.
