A Casper man has been charged with one misdemeanor count of sexual battery after he tried to assault a woman at a coffee stand last week, according to court records.

Dillan Beach pleaded not guilty to the charge during his initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court on Wednesday.

Circuit Court Judge Brian Christensen set Beach's bond at $5,000 while he awaits trial.

It won't be Beach's first time around with similar charges in circuit court.

In October, he approached a mail carrier who said he grabbed her, embraced her and aggressively touched her inappropriately before she got away, according to court records.

In mid-December, another woman reported he approached her delivering mail but she resisted, and after she got in her company vehicle, he entered the vehicle, grabbed and embraced her, and tried to touch her inappropriately before she fought back. And a few days before that, he met a woman at the library, took her to dinner and later raped her.

Despite being charged with multiple crimes, Natrona County Circuit Court found Beach, who was 18 at the time, was incompetent to stand trial. That ruling, according to state law, meant the Natrona County District Attorney's Office could not prosecute him.

That was two months ago.

On Saturday, a woman working at the Man Cave Coffee at East Second and South Jefferson streets said a man approached the hut, stared intensely at her in the east window, walked around and then went to the west window to stare again, according to the affidavit filed with circuit court.

He complimented her looks, and she asked if he intended to buy something because otherwise she had to serve customers.

He said no but asked her to give him a hug. She declined.

He offered to shake her hand and she thought that would get rid of him. When she shook his hand, he kissed it, then reached in to try to grab her and pull her through the window. She believed the assault was sexual in nature and wanted charges filed against him.

A surveillance video of the incident confirmed the woman's story. Officers who saw the video said the suspect was Beach.

On Sunday, officers met with the woman who identified Beach in a photo line-up.

Monday, officers met with Beach, who waived his Miranda rights. Beach denied being at Man Cave Coffee, saying he was with his mother on Saturday helping her move.

However, his mother was at the interview and said he had to go to the bathroom at Bradley's convenience store across from the hut. She didn't see him for a few minutes, then picked him up in the alley north of the store. He then told her, "'mom it's just a little coffee shop.'"
