The Platte River Trails Trust will conduct its annual Platte River Trails Spring Cleanup on the morning of Saturday, May 14, according to a news release.

The free public event begins at the Tate Pumphouse, 1775 W. First St., at 8:45 a.m. for registration and information.

Teams of volunteers will spread out along portions of the 11-mile Casper Rail Trail to pick up trash and debris.

Trash bags and other supplies will be provided at the site. Please bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes, and be prepared to walk.

Registration forms are available for download at platterivertrails.com.

Please print and bring a completed form for each participant to the Tate Pumphouse by 8:45 a.m.

The cleanup typically takes a couple of hours to complete.

This event is hosted by Platte River Trails and Keep Casper Beautiful. Participating organizations include the McMurry Foundation, KCWY13-TV, Townsquare Media, and Ridley's Family Markets.
