Pearl Jam is marking their 20th anniversary in 2011 with a barrage of new material for their fans. The band posted on their website that deluxe re-issues of their albums Vs. from 1993 and Vitalogy from 1994 will be released this spring.

A documentary called Pearl Jam Twenty, about the band and directed by Cameron Crowe, will be released, along with an accompanying book and soundtrack. There’s also the “20th anniversary destaniton weekend bash sometime in late summer” that’s expected.

Pearl Jam also promises “a number of special events and new, unexpected releases” will take place this year.  So if you weren’t a fan of the band before, 2011 will be a good year to give them a try.
