A co-worker posted about this story on Facebook and I just knew that I had to pass it along.

David Stocker and Kathy Witterick of Toronto have decided to keep the gender of their third child, named Storm, an absolute secret from not only the public at large, but from their friends and family as well.

If you really want to get to know someone, you don’t ask what’s between their legs, " Says Stocker.

Aside from the proud parents, the only others in on the secret are the two midwives who helded to deliver the baby, a close family friend and Storm's two older brothers, Jazz, 5 and Kio, 2. Though they worry about potential ridicule that Storm might face in the future, the grandparents are supportive of Stocker and Witterick's decision.

According to Stocker and Witterick, the ultimate goal is to allow Storm to decide for him(her)self how to act, like and ultimately live.

Everyone keeps asking us, ‘When will this end?’” says Witterick. “And we always turn the question back. Yeah, when will this end? When will we live in a world where people can make choices to be whoever they are?”

Though my personal feelings aren't exactly mixed, I am really curious to hear everyone else's thoughts. Leave a comment below and tell us what you think of this story.
